Adventure Awaits in 2013

Happy New Year

I am not one to necessarily make New Years resolutions, but I do always make goals that are actionable and, hopefully ones that I can clearly see have been achieved by the end of each year. Although some of them could be me “resolving” to change a behavior, most of them are things I want to do, accomplish and see in the next 365 days. Last year, writing three to five times a week was one of them, and I am happy to report that this blog has been the perfect outlet to accomplish this one. I also wanted to make it back to Europe, and as you all know, I had an amazing adventure in Northern Italy. I would challenge each of you to pick between 3-7 challenging things to strive to do this year and check on them at the end of each month. I have an alert set on my calendar to check my yearly goals and progress on the last day of each month to remind myself to see how I am doing. (Yes, perhaps that is a very apparent sign of my over the top type A personality).

Hope you are all having a happy first day of the new year. In my house, we have a tradition of eating one black-eyed pea for every day of the year, in order to bring luck in the year ahead (I think it’s an old Southern tradition). I still have a lot of peas to eat! Happy New Year everyone, let’s make it the best one yet!
