Whether it’s playing the “ABC” billboard game for hours on end (did everyone else play that as a kid?), eating greasy roadside food, or singing at the top of your lungs, sometimes the best weekend adventure is getting in the car and hitting the open road.
I have had some hilarious times and made great memories with friends and family while on the road. Last May, my friends and I loaded up the car to near explosion and made an 11 hour drive from Dallas to Northern New Mexico to go hiking. It was the first real break most of us had taken since starting our first jobs after college, and it was a total breath of fresh air. Being on the road in the middle of nowhere, singing loud and catching up was a good remedy for clarity and relaxation.
Anyone have a roadtrip planned for sometime soon? When and where are you headed? I just made one last weekend to Oklahoma, and I am hoping to make it to Austin in the next month or so!

I am dying to road trip up to New England! But, we don’t have a car right now…so it puts a damper on things. We also found renting a car out of Florida, it is almost impossible to find a company with a good price to take it out of the state due to tourism here! But, that is the next trip we want.
New Mexico is beautiful, hope you loved it.
Oh yes! New England in the fall is definitely on my list!
