What Travel Tools and Resources Do You Love?

As most of you probably know, I am working on an exciting new site design for The Everyday Adventurer which will probably go live in a little over a month. One of the things that I am excited to include is a list of resources for you to have access to each time you are planning a trip. While I was compiling my list, I thought it would be fun to ask all of you a few questions about what tools and resources you use for trip planning and how you go about picking your next great travel destination. I would love it if you would answer in the comments area below, or shoot me an email at lindseyhchandler {at} gmail.com if you would rather share that way!

1) What websites or tools do you use to figure out where you want to go next?

2) What is your favorite travel related mobile app?

3) Once you’ve hit the road, what is your must have resource?

Want to see my answers to these questions?

1) What websites or tools do you use to figure out where you want to go next?

When I am researching a trip I use a variety of inspirational sites to figure out where I want to go next. Pinterest, Kiwi Collection, and Tablet Hotels all serve as idea generating places for me. This post goes in a little more detail as to why I love these sites.

2) What is your favorite travel related mobile app?

This is a hard one for me to pick just one, but I will have to go with GateGuru. The app helps you navigate the airport so much better than aimlessly wandering around to find your best option. It also gives you discounts at certain retailers in your terminal! (HotelTonight would be a close second)

3) Once you’ve hit the road, what is your must have resource?

Since data charges can be really expensive abroad, I prefer to actually print out a custom itinerary or possible options when I am far away. I pretty much compile all of my favorite content from a variety of sources and have it in hard copy (how old school is that?). I do use TripCase to keep the main parts of my itinerary organized (air, car, hotel) no matter where I am.

I can’t wait to read your responses!
